band lessons
You and your friends have some songs you've been working on. Maybe you've thought up the perfect band name and gone public with your tunes at an open mic or talent show. How can you get to the next level? You can spend the next few years fooling around in your garage, or you can come on in and get some professional advice from an experienced band leader who will show you exactly what you need to work on. Even if you've already started playing shows, you might be surprised how much you can learn from a band lesson or two. Our teachers have spent countless hours on the road and onstage, and they can help you figure out how to dial in that sound you've been looking for. Choose a 60-minute or 90-minute lesson, depending on how much material you want to cover. Prices are as follows:
Payment is due at each lesson. We may ask for a credit card number in order to reserve your lesson time. We'll give you a 5% discount if you pay in advance for 4 or more band lessons, or if you sign up for automatic monthly payments for ongoing lessons. The lesson schedule will be set at the time of payment. All students are asked to abide by our studio policy (pdf) for scheduling and other issues. Membership is required - just $20 a year. Your annual membership fee gives you access to some great benefits. You'll be eligible to participate in our regular recitals and register for individual lessons and music classes at the studio. You'll get a 10% discount on most items at Charlottesville Music. We'll give you a folder with blank music or tab paper to keep notes on your sessions, and you'll also get a sampler CD of recordings by our instructors.
