short session
Do you want to try out an instrument and see if you enjoy it? Or maybe you've taken lessons before and want to pick up your instrument again, but you're not ready for a long-term commitment to lessons. Either way, starting with a short session is the perfect choice. How long does a short session last? The minimum session is 2 weeks, and you can choose virtually any session length based on your goals. Beginners often start with a four-week session to try out the instrument. Typically it takes at least two to six months of regular lessons and practice to develop basic skills, so plan to sign up for another short session or save money by switching to our weekly lesson program for ongoing lessons. For intermediate students who want to learn some new concepts or develop a new practice routine, we recommend working with an instructor for six to eight weeks. For advanced students who want to tackle a bigger project like preparing for an audition or performance, we recommend eight to twelve weeks of lessons. You can set up a single session or several shorter sessions. Decide on the lesson length that's right for you. We recommend 30-minute lessons for beginners, especially younger students, so that it's easy to stay focused and avoid fatigue. For students who plan to practice regularly and want to make faster progress, 45-minute lessons allow more time to get feedback on the previous week's assignments as well as learn new material. With 60-minute lessons, students have plenty of time to practice technique with the instructor's supervision or enjoy having a jam session with a pro. Session payments Payment for the session is due at the first lesson. We accept credit and debit cards as well as cash and checks.
