Elizabeth Brightbill (flute) earned a Doctor of Music degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. She held the position of Principal Flute with the Tulsa Philharmonic and Opera orchestras for 10 years and has taught at colleges across the U.S. She performs with cellist Andrew Gabbert as the duo Terra Voce. Andrew Ewell (guitar) has performed and recorded with American Dumpster and other bands, including appearances at FloydFest and the Crozet Music Festival. Andrew's latest project is a New Orleans style jazz band, Krewe d' Bayou. He attended Carleton College and specializes in rock and acoustic styles. You can listen to his music on MySpace. Andrew Gabbert (cello) has performed and recorded with numerous groups, including as a soloist with the Tulsa Philharmonic. He taught private lessons in Tulsa for more than 10 years and has been an instructor at the University of Oklahoma and at Louisiana State University. Studio Manager Ann Marie Hohenberger (guitar) has played guitar and worked with children for more than 15 years. She attended the University of Virginia and studies guitar with Peter Richardson. Ann Marie is a junior instructor and teaches beginners of all ages. Adam Larrabee (guitar, banjo, mandolin) recently moved to the Charlottesville area after teaching jazz theory and composition at the New England Conservatory in Boston. He plays many styles of music and has performed with musicians like Bela Fleck and Bruce Hornsby. You can listen to his music on MySpace. Ian Lawler (guitar) completed a performing arts degree at the University of Michigan in 1998. Ian has more than 11 years' experience performing and teaching music of all styles and genres. He specializes in rock, jazz, blues, funk, and soul. You can listen to his music on MySpace. Rick Olivarez (guitar, banjo) has taught music for more than 20 years, including a stint at the Ottawa Folklore Centre. He recently returned to Charlottesville after a number of years in New Orleans, where he performed and recorded with artists such as bluesman Johnny Sansone. Studio Director Peter Richardson (guitar) has performed and taught jazz, rock, classical and Flamenco guitar for more than 15 years. Humberto Oliveira Sales (guitar) completed a music degree at the Universidade Federal da Bahia, Brazil in 1999. Berto specializes in Flamenco and classical guitar and in the distinctive musical rhythms of Brazil. You can listen to his music at belezabrasil.net. Peyton Tochterman (guitar) performs with his band, Peyton Tochterman and High Society. Peyton attended St. Lawrence University and specializes in rock, bluegrass and songwriting. He teaches and performs a wide range of styles including jazz, rock, blues, brazilian music, flamenco and more. His teaching experience has included running a summer music day camp for ACAC.
